Keywords:At 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, the Memphis City Council's personnel, intergovernmental, and annexation committee is scheduled to discuss an ordinance that would establish employment non-discrimination provisions for sexual orientation and gender identity. The meeting will take place on the fifth floor of City Hall. It's open to the public, but a word of warning — there's not much space for seating in the conference room.
The Shelby County Commission passed a similar employment nondiscrimination ordinance in June.
